1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let a site remember information about your visit — such as your preferences — and help it understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies, like local storage, work in much the same way.
Cookies can be “session” cookies, which disappear when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted.
2. How & why we use cookies
SummitBridge uses a small number of cookies to keep the Site working, to remember the choices you make, and to understand which guides and articles are most useful so we can improve them. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell your data.
3. The three categories
We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into three categories:
Essential (always on)
These are necessary for the Site to function — for example, remembering your cookie choices and keeping the Site secure and stable. Because the Site cannot work properly without them, they are always on and cannot be switched off.
Preferences
These remember choices you make to give you a more comfortable experience, such as reading-mode and display settings. They are optional and only used with your consent.
Analytics
These help us understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are popular and where people may run into trouble — using largely de-identified, aggregated data. They are optional and only used with your consent.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by trusted third-party providers we use to operate the Site, such as analytics and email-delivery services. These providers process limited information on our behalf and in line with their own privacy policies. We do not permit them to use this information for unrelated purposes.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to the controls below, you can manage or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and warn you before they are set. Helpful guides are available for:
- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge — check the “Privacy” or “Cookies” section of your browser settings.
Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Site from working as intended.
6. Your cookie preferences
Use the controls below to choose which optional cookies we may use. Your choices are stored locally on this device (under the key sb-cookie-consent) — we don’t need an account to remember them, and they apply only to the browser you set them in.
Essential
Required for the Site to work and to remember your choices. Always on.
Preferences
Remembers display and reading-mode choices for a more comfortable experience.
Analytics
Helps us understand how the Site is used so we can improve our guides.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the law. The current version will always be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly.
8. Contact
